After a little bit of a shaky week gone by with illness and the like, I went to London on the weekend, and have returned to Bath fresh and fine. And productivity has followed. Above is my finished entry to The Dazed Digital ‘Decade Drawn Out’ competition, where a cover from each year of the last decade was selected, and entrants were asked to draw them. I chose this cover from April 2006, featuring the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, obviously because I think they’re swell. It’s done using pencil and gouache. Karen’s hair was as always a pleasure to render.
In other news we had a good masterclass at uni today with the illustrator Chris Long, and yesterday I constructed a pom pom headdress for mine and Shane’s video, which is going well too. Pics of both to come!
