The other day I went to meet the mother for a leisurely lunch (in the rain) next t the river in Westminster, and  spotted this memorial…

Perhaps it was my recent jaunt to Highgate cemetery that got me lookin’ at the stone construction, but I really loved to colours and pattern at the top of the point, in contrast to the stone. Its to commemorate the emancipation of slaves in 1834 by Sir T. Fowell Buxton. Its so cool to see things you’ve never seen in London, even after living here my whole life.
